Our training is a 9-week, consecutive program that runs all year. Classes are held Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 3:00pm.
Students can expect the course to consist of about 80% Hands-On-Training and 20% Bookwork. Topics and education will include:
- OSHA-10 Hour Construction Safety Training
(with non-expiring card issued by the DOL) - Electrical Safety
- Material and Tool Identification
- Common Electrical Symbols
- National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Conduit Bending
- Underground Installation
- Light Fixture Installation
- MC Cable Installation
- Box Fill
- Grounding
- Device Installation (Plugs and Switches)
- Electrical Service Installation
- Mounting Methods
- Raceway Support Systems
- Electrical Phases and Voltages
Students will be expected to come to class ready to perform activities that simulate real-world installation procedures in real world elements and environments.
